Our Communities
Despite modern culture's call for us to be independent, self-made and isolated, community is a vital part of the vision of Global Connections. We want to be involved in community wherever we live - to encourage, give and build into one another.
Tigoni, Kenya
Global Connections leases a 10 acre farm and guest house in the beautiful tea country of Tigoni, Kenya – just beyond the crowded capital city of Nairobi. This is the home of the Kenya team. The farm is called "Jamii Moja Farm" which means "one community" or "one family" farm.
Columbus, MS USA
GC was born in Columbus when the Puckett Family traveled to Kenya. Since 2005, they have involved more than 100 volunteers for numerous fundraisers and Africa Awareness meetings. A community has formed in this small town that is highly concerned for one another and their friends in Kenya.
Greenville, SC USA
Many of Global Connections staff, Ambassadors and volunteers lived in Greenville while they attended Furman University. GC maintains a home office in Greenville, and a number of former travelers meet together for meals, bible study and to discuss the current situation of their friends in Kenya. They have been an invaluable support to GC and our partners in Kenya.
