Our Story
Global Connections grew from one family's desire to be a blessing. Over 20 family members traveled to Kenya in the summer of 2005 and lent a hand where needed. After experiencing the vast amount of need, beauty, and amazing friendships, our founder returned to the United States determined to do something.
While knowing that humanitarian aid was important, our founder realized his life had been hugely enriched by seeing the world from another perspective and befriending people from a different culture. Today, we support many of those friends who are working hard to better their own community. These friends help Global Connections by informing us what the real needs in Kenya are, as well as hosting groups who travel and serve in East Africa.
